Emin card hits the bay
A Tracey Emin card from this years sale is being flipped on ebay. Click here to see the auction. I try not to be too judgemental about these things, as we don't know the sellers personal circumstances, but I have to say the price is ambitious to say the least. The only previous Emin card to be sold on ebay reached £1220 on a standard auction. That card was a better image, in my opinion of course. The seller for this one wants at least over 4 times that much.

Worth every penny. ;)
Wow... I have been looking on ebay to see if any cards from this year were going to turn up.
That's quite a price it's going for. I'm no one to judge either - it's interesting to see it's happened though...
The seller might be aware that the price is ambitious but not prepared to part with it for less. Of course, if it doesn't sell, they might relist at a lower price.
Bit pointless though going to the effort of listing it, and paying the listing fee if you think that the price is not likely to be fetched.
We'll have to wait and see - maybe someone will pay that sort of money for it, who knows.
On a seperate note it's great to see so few of the cards from this years sale on ebay. I've only seen 3 so far which out of 2700 is a very small proportion. Hopefully most people buy to keep. Mine are at the framers at the moment :)
I'm going to keep my eye on it and see what happens - has 170+ views - be interesting if someone does actually do the BIT option...
How did you find the other 3 cards that are on eBay? I've had a few hits on my blog from people searching for "RCA + EBAY" because of my entry which mentions it!
I need to get my cards framed also... :)
If you do a search for rca in both titles and descriptions under art then that usually means that you can find them :)
Price has gone down a bit. Still not buying though ;)
I'd buy it... if I had £12,000 spare, had an eBay account, had been further up in the queue, liked it, didn't have other things higher up on my list at the time, had space on my walls, didn't really have a life, were it not so close to Christmas, and if I lacked in essential grey matter. Otherwise, I won't.
well, it didn't sell. too dealy priced i'm sure. will be interesting to see if it gets relisted at a lower price at some point.
